Automated multi-layer garage is a intellectualized and stereoscopic system of physical distribution 、storage and transportation, which bases on automated technique、robot technology and computer technology. It can complete the storage of vehicle and the management of related information automatically and reliably. The development and research of this system could solve the parking problem in our country, so it is possessed of significant theoretical meaning and use value.
The Before programming, the type of garage and its planer construction are made certain. The mechanisms’ placement of different Multi-layer Garages is dissimilar, so is the mechanisms’ selection of the same multi-layer garages. As a result, the corresponding part of control system makes a difference. Because multi-layer garage’s operating efficiency is high、 its reliability is good. Programmable logic controller is use to design an automatic control system for stow-typed multi-layer garage under ground in this paper. In the course of design, In order to check the system and know the thought of it easily, so the control systems were tried to design respectively, containing the garage control system、the intelligent transit system and stow control system. The whole system shows PLC’s advantage fully in the automatic control.

We introduce the types、features and the standard of electrotype of the automated multi-layer garage, etc. And then the system organization、principle of operation、operate mode and programmatic rule of PLC are introduced; at last, its system configuration, operating principles, soft realization are detailed introduced. Flow control and ladder diagram of PLC are analyzed. This system makes automated multi-layer garage controlled and managed in effect, and gives full play to the garage’s characteristic.
